It does. One thing my fiction writer said to us is that he believes everyone has one good story in them (I mean look at Harper Lee and To Kill A Mockingbird, wasn't a writer - and Lee had an amazing editor). But after that it's skill. A writer writes, usually a writer writes daily, as a habit (um I don't). I also heard this: if you write a sentence and you say to yourself, that's a good sentence, take it out. Because if you can still construct the story without that "good" sentence, then you are a talented writer. Anyways, not to get into writing theory... All this to say that I still believe there is such a thing as writers block despite it all.
