We attended Kailua's 4th of July parade this past Wednesday, and experienced a parade of interesting sights. It was amusing, to say the least, to watch Darth Vador walk the streets of Kailua carrying an American flag with his companions. Where do we live?!!!!

at least there was a parade going on in your town
...last friday on my way to work at the dental office there was a man standing in the middle of an intersection [stop sign intersection] dressed to the nines as an elvis impersonator, guitar, sunglasses & all. it was 7:30am.
i've finally lived here long enough that my only thought was, "...of course." there was no event happening, he just up and decided that that particular morning was clearly the morning to dress up as elvis & greet people on their way to work.
